DIY Superfood Apple Chips



  • Apples of your Choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground maca root
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)


Preheat you oven to 225 degrees F or 110 degrees C. Slice apples using a mandoline or the slicing attachment of a food processor. Arrange your apple slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Mix together your cinnamon and maca root in a small bowl then evenly sprinkle over the tops of your slices. Bake the apples in the preheated oven for 1-2 hours or until the apple flesh is completely dry and the edges of the slices begin to curl up. Use a spatula to transfer chips to a wire cooling rack. Allow to cool until crispy. 

Store chips in a ziplock bag or string for use as decoration. I suggest garlands and wreaths.
